Harry Newman has been working with photography since the mid-2000s. His lens-based work has been shown in solo and group shows at galleries in New York and around the U.S. These include New York University’s Deutsches Haus; 440 Gallery and BRIC House Gallery in Brooklyn; Gallery At the Watershed in Eugene, Oregon; and two galleries as part of the citywide art event, CurateNYC. His prints have been acquired for permanent collections of arts organizations including Dave Bown Projects, Avi Gitler/Gitler & __Gallery, and the Williamsburg Art and Historical Center, and can be found in private collections across the U.S. Trained in science, Harry studied Chemistry and Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
